Piano By Kris
Abby and me
Abby and I working on Holiday music.
I believe that piano lessons in your home should be a fun, educational and rewarding experience. Students are expected to practice and stay focused in each lesson. This type of work pays off quite rapidly with progress through each book the students work out of. Each time a student practices, more foundation is built reinforcing a solid understanding of music principals.

Here is what a typical lesson may look like:

Warm-Up:
A few minutes of drills to get the fingers relaxed and ready to play.

Songs:
We spend time working on and checking last week’s songs to make each piece sounds beautiful.

Technique:
The student and I work on short technical pieces that concentrate on rhythm, finger dexterity and dynamics.

*Written:
At the end of the lesson I will check written homework and assign a new page for a solid understanding of theory.

*Each page of homework only takes a few minutes to complete.
